Mental health is crucial for students as it directly impacts their emotional well-being, academic performance, and overall development.  Student activities provide opportunity for them to be involved, make friends, increase their self confidence. As we celebrate our annual gala with a musical theater production at The Providence Performing Arts Center, our appeal is centered on student activities, particularly the Performing and Fine Arts.

The arts can significantly contribute to the mental and emotional well-being of youth by providing a safe and therapeutic outlet for expressing emotions, managing stress, and building self-esteem. Engaging in art activities like painting, drawing, music, or theater can help youth process and manage difficult emotions, reduce stress hormones, and enhance their sense of self and belonging.

At Mount, the administration has committed to diversifying our extracurricular programs to appeal to all students’ talents and interests. Our programs in the fine arts are growing, and as our enrollment grows, we are striving to provide as many creative opportunities in a creative, supportive and safe environment as possible for our Mounties!

As a private school, our budget is always tight. As we increase our enrollment and diversity, we find those funds tighter than ever as our commitment to financial aid grows. But we are determined to succeed, and for that we need YOUR help!
